Supriya Gupta
B.Sc., RD |
Supriya Gupta, Registered Dietitian (RD),
has over 20 years experience
counseling individuals on weight management, healthy eating,
managing high cholesterol, blood pressure, diabetes and
sports nutrition. Supriya is dedicated in helping her
clients reach their nutrition goals. Supriya
has been involved in various fundraising events including
planning, organizing, and training committee volunteers.
Supriya serves as an advisor on several health committees, including the Canadian Cancer Society and the Breast Health Project. In addition of doing many body break episodes for HAL & JOANNE, she is also the registered dietian for their clients. She delivers nutrition seminars to doctors and other professionals throughout Ontario. As a consulting dietitian, Supriya has conducted Nutrition Health Clinics in cooperation with Toronto Public Health. Supriya keeps active through tennis, yoga, Pilates and fitness programs.
Supriya has a number of nutritition clinics across the G.T.A. and provides services in several languages.

Supriya received her Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Food and
Nutrition, from the University of Alberta and
completed her internship at St. Michael's
Hospital in Toronto.
RELATED ACTIVITIES AND ACHIEVEMENTS
- Presently giving presentation to Clients on diabetes, cholesterol and blood pressure requested by their physicians
- Presently on the advisory committee for the Canadian Cancer Society, Breast Health Project
- Spearheaded the research for the handouts for to be handed to all patients with diabetes from the Canadian Diabetes Association
- Actively involved in giving nutrition seminars to doctors and other professionals at their rounds and meetings
- Composed an introduction on Indian foods as well as nutrition information in the capacity of a registered consulting dietitian for the publication of the Heart Smart Flavours of India cookbook published by the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada
- Actively involved in the development testing and nutritional analysis of Havergal College Cookbook (Harvest of recipes, 1995)
- Participated as a consulting dietitian in a joint venture with Loblaws and Becel to educate customers on healthy eating
- Conducting ongoing Nutrition Health Clinics in cooperation with Toronto Public Health
- Participated in 8 episodes of the television series "Body Break" with Hal Johnson and Joanne McLeod; presented on a variety of nutrition related topics
- Currently working on a joint venture with the media on a variety of nutrition topics
- Currently on the advisory board with cardiologists & surgeons and make presentations
to the doctors and public when asked and seem necessary
- Was a member of the board of governors at a prestigious private school in the GTA
- Created a two-week meal plan at a Long Term Care Facility in the GTA
